Can One S Height Be Increased At The Age Of 15?

Hello doctor. I am a girl of 15 years and will be 16 in about 5 months time.My height is only 4.11 ft and my weight is 54 kg.when i was 14 years old i consulted a doctor and he advised me to take best balanced diet,do exercise and avoid the such medicine to increase height .And however with the passage of time my weight keep increasing but the height is still there 4.11ft. I am shortest of all in my class. Is there any chance that my height will increase because my mother s height is 5.3ft nd dad to . I would like to get atleast 5.5ft. Still ,Is there any hope that my height would increase?

Hello,

Height is a genetically determined trait and one can not increase it will routine drugs. You will grow taller up to the age of 21 and you can wait for few more years to get the final height. As your both parents are short you can not expect high number. Hormonal drugs can be tried in children with low height but can not be used routinely due to its side effects and effects on multiple systems in the body.
