Can Otis Media Cause Ulcers And Swollen Gums?

daughter is 13 months and was diagnosed with otis media and has been on antibiotics for the past 3 days. she is now developing ulcers on her tongue and outside of her lip. she has 6 teeth that have erupted and her gums appear so swollen that her teeth appear to have shrunk. could this be related to the ear infection?

thanks for your query, i have gone through your query, the ulcers could be an aphthous ulcer or herpes virus infection...the swollen gums could be secondary to deposits or herpetic gingivo stomatitis... consult a oral physician for complete examination and treatment.. you can take topical anesthetics and analgesics....i hope my answer will help you... take care..the ulcers are nothing to do with otitis media...
