Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Abdominal pain, pelvic pain, back and shoulders are aching, dizziness and shortness of breath. I went last week to the ER because it originally started off as just lower right abdominal pain they did a CT scan and said everything looked normal. When to my ob yesterday because I started to think I had an ovarian cyst. They did an ultrasound and said I had a small one on my right ovary but that shouldn t be causing this pain and dizziness. I m also having some acid reflux and loss of appetite.
How long you are having this? Such generalised pain can not be attributed to a small ovarian cyst. Ovarian cysts are usually asymptomatic. When symptomatic, they causes vague abdominal pain, and rarely abnormal bleeding.
I would suggest getting a complete blood count with ESR, if not already done. This will rule out any anemia (can cause loss of appetite, dizziness and shortness of breath) or chronic inflammations (can cause body pains and joint pains). For the time being, take paracetamol tablets for temporary relief. Take after food with water to avoid dyspepsia. Kindly discuss with a physician for evaluation
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
