Can Pain In Eyes Be Related To Fever?

My 5 year old has had a fever since 10 pm last night. She has been complaining that her eyes hurt for the past 4 hours. With alternating Motrin and Tylenol, her fever has not been below 101.1 since 3:09 this afternoon. Should I be concerned about her eye pain?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
There can be slight painful or burning sensation in eyes with fever. If there is any history of itching, or discharge from the eyes or stickiness of the eyelids, then you must get her eyes checked. Otherwise it's just fever.
