Can Pain In The Bladder Area Be Caused By Kidney Stone?

My daughter is 35 and she believes she has another kidney stone. She has severe pain in her right kidney and around the bladder area. She was recently seen by a doctor and he told her she probably had a kidney stone that was trying to pass. He told her to take ibuprofin and that was his script. What do we need to do to help her? She has just started a new job and insurance doesn t kick in for 60 days. Is there anything we can do at home to help her pass the stone? She is really hurting!

Hello thank you for writing us here.
For kidney stone, its most probably that the stone passed to her bladder and cause pain. I would suggest to take lots of water so the stone is excreted in urine. It would take little time but she'll get relief soon. Take a leave from work if required and drink water at least 3 or 4 glasses of water in one hour.

Best regards,
Dr Gunjan
