Can Painful Urination Be A Sign Of STD?

Hi doctor,
I am having pain while urinating. It is not happening all the time but mostly in day time. I had sex with a sex worker 4 months back but i did use the protection. Since then I am having this problem. I want to get tested for STD but don't know where to go. I am staying in Marathali, bangalore. Please let me know the STD test center in bangalore

Hello,
It is unlikely that with protected sex, you developed STD, unless condom was slipped out or torn. I think that you probably have urinary tract infection
For testing, You need to go to your local STD clinic, but I am not sure whether this is available in your city. You can see your physician or dermatologist or urologist to arrange a urine test for you to rule out infection or any other illness.
Hope this will help
