Can Pelvis Pain And Random Light Spotting Indicate Ectopic Pregnancy?

Hi I am a 25 year old female. I was due for a period on June 16th.. i was sexualy active during and before my previous ovulation cycle. I had spotting on the 11th and 12th, very light, only used one pantuliner. Regular period never came. Throughout the last week, I have had right side pelvic pains, and very light spotting randomly. I tested negative on a home pregnancy test on the 20th. I am just wondering if these symptoms could be pregnancy or possible ectopic pregnancy?

Hello,

Ectopic pregnancy is unlikely because ectopic almost always associated with positive urine pregnancy test.

You can simplest go for an beta HCG test also. The symptoms are more likely suggestive of pelvic inflammatory disease ( PID).

Consult a gynecologist and get evaluated. An ultrasound abdomen is required for further assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
