Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Went to ER with abdominal pain. They did blood work and xrays. They said I needed to see a doctor and have a colonoscopy done. However, I believe my pain is from stomach ulcer. I had bleeding ulcers long ago. Today the pain was severe. I took Maalox and it immediately soothed the pain. I woke up and now I am feeling dizzy and worry that they may be bleeding. After 2 ER viaits in 11 days I am reluctant to return.
You didn't mention the exact location of your abdominal pain. Is it accompanied by nausea, vomiting,? How is your appetite? Do you have blood in stools? I will be able to help you if you provide me with this information.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Yasam Lavanya, General & Family Physician
