Can Persistent Stomach Pain Be Caused By Stomach Cancer?

Hi I have been suffering from stomach pain for one and a half months, but not every day until this week. Only sometimes feeling acid reflux in the mouth. No diarrhea. Always yellow stool and rarely constipation. Urination just slightly yellowish. No vomiting or nausea. Poor appetite. Age over 75. What are the odds of stomach cancer? Thanks in advance.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
It's Dr. Hanif with a warm welcome. Thanks for visiting and trusting HCM.

Not looking like to be a stomach cancer. But the symptoms suggest strongly to go for a thorough screening for liver disease and complications related to chronic liver disease.

I preferably suggest you to consult a Gastroenterologist for thorough evaluation and management. He will need to go for an Endoscopy of the GI Tract to see if there is an issue related to the stomach. You have GERD issues as you mentioned you have the gastric reflux, occasional though. You may be having an ulcer of the stomach or small intestine due to hyperacidity. Cause may be infection by H.Pylori bacteria and needs to be evaluated. Management goes accordingly.

Hope I addressed all the concerns you have. Let me know if you have further questions. I will be more than happy to help. In future for a fast and direct consultation from me use this link ( http://tinyurl.com/drhanifmd ) and I will be with you in no time to solve your health issues.

Regards!
