Can Pinched Nerve In Lower Back Cause Severe Muscular Pain In Shoulders And Neck?

My lower back hurts my neck muscles hurt and my neck bones keep creaking like there is popcorn it my neck. My whole body is aching. I am 61 and generally in good health. This started 2 days ago. Can a pinched nerve in the lower back cause so much generalized muscle pain in the shoulders and neck?

Welcome to HCM. Sorry to hear about your pain. Please note that pinched nerves in your lower back would not cause shoulder and neck pain, it would cause discomfort in your buttocks and legs. I wonder if your pain is due to muscle spasms because of your back pain and in essence you are guarding your torso. In any event, these types of pain occur after sleeping wrong or having strenuous activities during the day. I hope this helps. Good luck.
