I have a pineal gland cyst that grew from 1.2 mm in may to now 7 mm. I lost complete vision in both eyes for a few minutes. Is this something i need to be worried about? Could the growth have caused my sudden blindness? Will i have these episodes frequently?
Hello dear Understand your concern Yes pineal gland cyst can cause temporary blindness. But it can cause vision problem in future. Generally it is asymptomatic. It is lie in the center of brain can cause compression of optic pathway and cerebral aqeduct lead to production of symptoms .
small cyst: Large cyst: > 5 mm Following are the symptoms : headache,dizziness, confusion, tremor,, memory loss, fatigue, tiredness, hydrocephalus.
