Can Poor Diet Reduce Kidney Function?

In the last year my kidneys have gone from working 100% down to 70%. What am I doing for this to happen. I am 76 years old. My email is YYYY@YYYY . I have been having some beer now and then but i am off it as of now. and also soda and regular tea. Am having about a cup of coffee a day.

CAUSE OF REDUCED RENAL FUNCTION MAY BE MANY AND CONSIDERING YOUR AGE 1st one will be hypertension diabetes will be the second if you dont have any other sympotoms like red urine pain while micturating swelling in abdomen or any prostate problem
i will advise you to stop your caffeine intake do a fasting and post eating sugar level for diabetes & BLOOD PRESSURE checked first and do lifestyle modification like drink plenty of fluid if obese decrease your weight by medication or exercise and keep cholesterol in check and see the difference
in all do check BP BLOOD GLUCOSE & DO LIFESTYLE CHANGES
