Can Post-polio Syndrome Be Kept At Bay Through Regular Exercises?
I am 78 years old.......had polio when I was five. Had some nerve tests taken and learned that there are some dead nerves in my lower leg. The doctor said I probably had post polio syndrome. Having falls and using a walker for stability. What exactly is post polio syndrome . Can I keep it a bay with exercise?
Post polio syndrome is basically non functioning neurons in particular nerves of limbs. Regular exercises will not alter the dead nerves' status, but it will surely help you remain fit through the rest of the live neurons.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Wish you great health.
