Can Premature Atrial Contraction Cause Fluctuating Blood Pressure?
I have fluctuating blood pressure, ranges from systolic is between 72- 102 and diastolic is from 65 - 48. I have PAC premature atrial contraction) my family doctors would like me a blood pressure medication, but i am wondering if the low BP readings could be caused by PAC? As well as, can PAC progress? becuase my heart seems to loose rythem alot more now? please help me
Atrial Premature Complex (APC) or Atrial Premature contractions, cause the heart out of rhythm, skipping of the beats and yes may cause blood pressure issues too.
It is very common among teenagers and adults and is very prevalent issue as many people have it sometimes in life.
Cause of APC is usually not known in many patients and such APCs go away at their own. If a cause is identified, we have to treat that for sure. And if there is a definite cause behind the issue, Yes, it may progress as you are inquiring in your question about it.
I suggest you to consult a Cardiologist for through heart evaluation and get treated if there is some obvious cause of APC found.
Hope it helps. Feel free to contact me anytime directly from my profile if you need further assistance in follow-up.
