Can Presence Of Mold Causes Persistent Headache?

I have recently taken an office job in a very old trailer that I am afraid may have mold. I never get headaches, but the past 2 days I have had a headache that is crippling. The headache covers the entire back to front of my head. Could this be a symptom of the mold?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is unlikely to be due to mold. The symptoms of mold allergy are very much similar to other types of allergy such as sneezing, nasal congestion, cough, postnasal drip, itchy sensation in the eyes, nose and throat, and dry scaly skin.

These symptoms vary from person to person and range from mild to severe. Persistent headache is unlikely to be associated with mold exposure. You are advised to visit your doctor for proper clinical assessment and to find out the exact cause of persistent headache and its appropriate treatment.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
