Can Prolonged Intake Of Benadryl Cause Memory Loss?
I have been taking Diphenhydramine 50 mg at night for about 5 years. Is this the same as Benadryl? I am experiencing memory loss and have been tested with negative results. My psychologist has said that taking Benadryl for long periods of time can cause memory loss and it may subside within 6 mo after stopping the medication. Thank you, Elly Frauenhofer

Yes,this is same as benadryl,however I don't think this is some common side effect of benadryl long term use so you should try to find other causes of these symptoms.
