Can Prostate Surgery And Fever Be Related?

9 weeks ago I had duadruple bypass surgery, all going well healing etc., till this afternoon I experienced chills and somewhat Fever of about 100.2.... I would like to point out that A week prior to the heart surgery I had prostate surgery ( trupid) from which I developed a blood infection whic trigger the heart issues and had to wait about six days for the infection to subside befrore the hear surgery.... Q. Could this Fever be related to the prostate surgery or perhaps heart related.... Otherwise I am a very healthy 54 yr old male... Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I really appreciate your concern, you have a history of two surgeries and also had a infection at the time of first surgery so right now chances of infection again would be very likely, and this might be resistance to some antibiotic and this possibility need to be ruled out if this is really post operative infection, and to confirm this you need to get done some test, blood culture would one of them, with the proper antibiotic this would come around soon, hope this information helps.
