Can Prozac 10mg Lead To Lightheaded Ness?

I just started taking prozac 10mg a lest than a week ago.I get this buzzed lightheaded sleepy feeling after i ve taken it. I doctor told me to take 20mg after 5 days. I don t won t too if i m going to feel like this all the time. Is ok for me to remain on the 10mg instead of upping the dosage to 20mg.

Your doctor has prescribed you prozac which contains Fluoxetine which belongs to class SSRI and used to treat various conditions like depression,panic disorders and some others.And yes this medicine can cause lightheadedness and sleepy.Generally for adults dose of 20mg is used so your doctor want to increase the dose from 10mg to 20mg to have more improvement in the symptoms.
If you are feeling very much of sleepy then consult the doctor so that he may think of other options or 10mg dose only depending on your severity of problem.
