Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have recent chest xray..and the result is i need to undergo another test and see a chest specialist..it says that my chest xray showed a small round of opacity in the left lower lung.what question is?is this treatable or a serious one..im worried about it..please help..thank you
Localized opacification on chest xray can be due to many reasons. You have not mentioned any symptoms or history you had because of which you were adviced to get a chest xray done.
I would suggest you talk to your doctor and clear your doubts as he is aware of your medical history and symptoms so he will be able to guide you further on this with appropriate best treatment options depending on the underlying cause.
He might ask you to get a few more diagnostic tests and blood tests done for a clear understanding regarding the cause.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
