Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
back in November I was in a petsmart and I was hadling a 3 week old BALL PYTHON shortly after that I noticed my right eyebrow was sore and became red itchy and know it's cuasing pain I tried everything from Neosporin to maxeama and my dr. gave me a prescription of crezone I also have a cat he is diabetic and my uncle thinks it might be from the cat I told my dr. this and he said it's possible but highly unlikely so I know snakes are carriers could this rash be from the python??????????
I am so sorry to hear about this rash. This would be very unlikely. And beside, you no longer have this python to claim continued exposure and symptoms. Your symptoms are suggestive of an allergic reaction. It could be the cat but, it is also wise looking around to see if there is something else that could be the potential cause of your symptoms beside cat's' fur.
I hope this addresses your query fully. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more clarification or information if need be. I wish you well. Dr. Ditah, MD.
