I would keep a possibility of
Scabies considering the distribution of
rash.
Scabies involves wrists, abdomen, thighs and genitals classically. The rash of scabies can also be present on arms, buttocks and legs.
The lesions are itchy erosocrusted papules.
Treatment is single whole body application sparing face of 5%
permethrin cream, left overnight (8hrs) and washed off next morning.
Special attention should be given to finger web spaces at the time application. The nails should be cut short before applying the cream.
Once daily oral antihistamine like
cetrizine will help you with the itch part.
It is advisable to traet all the family members simultaneously.
All the clothes, bed-sheets, pillow covers, towels and handkerchiefs should be washed OR dry cleaned.
