Can Red Bumbps On The Roof Of The Mouth Be Indicative Of An STD?

Good evening doctor. I d like to ask you about a subepithelial lymphoid tissue that i ve developed 4 months almost ago and it still remains. I had two red bumps which got increased to four gradually during these 4 months, almost, on the roof of my mouth -not soft palate- around my uvula. And i can see as well some on the back of my throat, on the posterior pharyngeal wall. Is there any possibility to be an STD? I never had sexual intercourse, but oral once (no swallowing). After i did mouthwash with Listerin and i brushed my teeth, which i know is more dangerous, cause it can cause open sores vulnerable to infections. After my partner tried once without my will, to have intercourse and he injured me somehow. After i got a terrible itching for 3 days and sth like yeast infection. Then the bumps began to appear. I know aall these sound too silly but i m soo stressed and anxious about this soo much! I also sing - not professionally- and i thought about pharyngitis as well. I got an HIV s quick test for HIV type one and two and the results were negative. I got tested almost 3 months after the suspected fact. Thanks a priori!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The narrated lesion of mouth roof indicates most possible Chlamydia or herpes manifestation after unprotected sexual intercousre. In my opinion, the gold standard report is culture of the swab report obtained from palate or posterior pharyngeal wall scrapping.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
