Can Red Ginseng Extract Be Taken Along With Metformin?

I am having HUGE trouble with my diabetes. I have been watching my diet and doing exercise for 20 or so minutes. I was told the more insulin I use the more trouble I am asking for with my health. I have find red ginseng is working for people and I was wondering if it is safe to use with my metforman and other insulin? And if so how long should it take to see results if it is working for me?
