Hai i am varun from hyderabad.i am 19 yrs old.i am staying in hostel. Recently i am suffering from skin disease.if anyone touch my hands tightly ,the touched place become allargy and red colour with pain.i contacted skin specialist.he said,that is common there is no medicine for this disease.i am feeling very fear about it.please give suggetions...thank you sir
Hi Varun. I have gone through your query. You have a skin condition called 'Contact Dermatitis'. Itis a benign condition. Your skin is basically hypersensitive. This condition can not be cured but it can be brought under control by the following measures.
1. Avoid people who would hold your hands tightly. 2. Keep your hands well moisturized esp in winters. 3. Use calamine lotion to counteract itching. 4. Take 'Fexofenadine' 60 mg tablet twice daily if the swelling and itching are severe. 5. If the swelling and itching are not subsiding you can use "kenacot" cream three time daily on the swelling. 6. If all these measures fail then you need to see a Dermatologist for Oral corticosteroid prescription.
