Can Regular Meals Be Replaced With Food Supplements?
I am a beer drinker...8 to 11 a day......needless to say I eat 1 meal a day...if that much...I try my best to eat only healthy foods......fish , vegys , etc. ....... I am NOT giving up my beer...BUT , is there any supplements or healthy foods to make up for my bad habits
Welcome to HCM! I appreciate your concern towards the replacement of regular meals.
I am of the opinion that it is not advisable for you. Those people have been drinking alcohol on a regular daily basis with fixed timing interval in addition to the harmful effects on liver, brain, and other tissues have nutritional deficiencies. They do not take healthy balanced diet which supplies the recommended carbohydrate, protein, fat and vitamins along with dietary fiber in the form of vegetables. So they are at the risk of developing various nutritional deficiency states.
As such nutritional supplements can not be the ideal substitute for the regular healthy meals.
I hope your doubts have been clarified. Please take care of your precious health. Regards
