Can Removal Of Gallbladder, Appendix And Right Ovary Cause Any Side Effects?

i had my gallbladder, appendix, right tube and right ovary removed in 1976. the doctor cut me from under my breast bone to the top of my vaginal. he used a big knife and left large staples inside my stomach. can it cause a person to have all types of health problems. i asked doctors to have them removed but each one say no, can t do.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read your description and understand your concern.
Appendix is a vestigial organ, and can be removed without any harm to the body, although it is involved in certain immune functions.
Gall bladder is a storage organ for bile and it can be removed without much harm to the body.
Removal of one of the ovaries is acceptable as the other ovary would compensate for the functions and does not affect health much.
Hence, there are no major health concerns with the removal of organs like appendix, gall bladder and one of the ovary.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
