Can Repeated Doses Of Deworming Medication Be Given To A Toddler?
My son is four years old. Doc told he has worms.my son companlaints of sever stomach ache...I gave him albendazole 10 ml suspension. Still he had pain so doc told me to give another dose after four days. I want to know if all the worms are killed or should I give him more doses of albendazole10 ml.after taking albendazole his stomsche ache becomes sever then he sleeps.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, diagnosis is more important if this is confirmed worm infestation then anthelmintic can be given according to species of worm, if this is not the worm infestation then it may not work as long as the pain is concern, more over worm infestation may not cause pain unless it causes obstruction, so better to get it confirm the presence of worm instead of thinking about increasing the dose of medicine, such pain could be colicky pain, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
