Can Repeating The Same Vaccine Within A Two Years Gap Cause Health Issues?
Hello, My daughter is 5.5 years old now. She was born on July 1st 2011. Till Jan 2013, we have not missed any vaccines as per schedule. And she was given DPT&OPV II Booster now at 5.5 yrs. But we vaguely remember giving a vaccine two yrs ago. We are not sure if it is the same vaccine which was given now. Please let me know whether there will be any health issues if the same vaccine is given with a two years gap.

No it will not pose any problems especially as she has not had any side effects in the past (allergy to the vaccine)
The usual side effects of the vaccine such as pain /swelling at the Injection site, fever is expected but otherwise no problem.
Please maintain a booklet or a chart that records her vaccinations schedule and those taken with the labels on.
