Can Respiratory Problems Lead To Delay In Voice Breaking?
Im a 15 year old boy and my voice and height is not developing. The height maybe because my parents are short. But most of the children in my class have mature voice. I read in a forum that diseases like asthma can cause to delayed puberty. I dont have asthma but have respiratory problems and my doctor prescribed me rotahaler. Is this the reason why my voice is not developing? Should I do any diagnostics to check if thers any problem?
First i would like to appreciate your curiosity to know about your health issues on your own.
Maturity in voice depends on hormonal factors. There is no direct relation between respiratory disorder and voice maturity, unless if there is any associated hormonal involvement.
You dont have to worry much for it. Get done your Thyroid functions. If there are any abnormalities that has to be treated.
Voice depends on a persons gene, if at all there is any pathology in your vocal cords that has to be treated.
