Can Retrieval Of Gall Bladder Reduce Recurring Gastric Problem?
Hi I had very uncomforted tummy before three days with lot of gas which was not getting released I took maze d but till two hours it did not work once it started releasing gas I got shivering for 20 minutes and after taking paracetamol it stopped I did not have diahera or vomiting next day I have started ciplox tz twice a day and feel better I was advised sonography and MRI to rule out gallbladder stone which is negative no trace is seen how ever if my sgpt and sgot comes down from 450 level to normal it is necessary to remove gal bladder by surgery?i also had similar problem before one year and with stomach antibiotic it got settled however I don t remember having sgpt or sgot that time Pls advise if the removal of gal bladder will rule out this kind of pain or discomfort in future
Since you have no gallstones or any evidence of cholecystitis there is no indication for gallbladder removal. The problems of pain and such things need further clinical evaluation, examination and investigations as per the clinical findings.
These may be as follows:
- Repeat the liver function and other blood tests as needed.
- Ultrasonography review just to get the confirmed findings of MRI.
- Colonoscopy and an upper GI Endoscopy.
- Tests of stool and urine.
All these will help to get an exact diagnosis and thus get treated according to the findings in a surer way. Not need to remove the gall bladder.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
