Hello,

Ringing in the ears, blockage sensation and hearing loss occur commonly due to impacted wax in your eustachian tube, ear infection (AOM / SOM, etc.), loud noise, trauma to ear, eardrum rupture (partial / complete), etc. Get clinically examined by an ENT, if impacted wax is diagnosed; ear wash will be done in the OPD by the ENT. You will hear better. Do not try doing it yourself, you will make symptoms get worse.

Bacterial infection if detected will be treated with a course of antibiotics, analgesics, etc. Avoid swimming and protect your ears while bathing. Partial or complete rupture of the ear drum is commonly treated with medicines. If the symptoms continue despite treatment, then the treating ENT may recommend surgery. It is difficult to reverse complete hearing loss, but surgery can improve hearing. Devices like hearing aids can reduce hearing loss. Get treated at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
