Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My granddaughter - age 3 - has a rash that looks like welts on her face, her behind, her legs. Could it be ringworm. What is the incubation period for this infection. She has not been to day care for 2 weeks. The family has multiple cats. One has just recovered from an illness.
Hi Ringworm infection can occur in any age group. Multiple rashes may occur in body but common areas are groin, hips, axilla and interdigital folds. The rashes may be allergic as many cats are there. Chances of bacterial infection is remote.
