Can Roller Coaster Rides Accelerate ADHD Disorder?
My husband is ADHD and he went on several rollercoaster rides on our recent vacation in Florida. As he is already hyper active, I believe that the rides had an accelerated effect on him cousing him to be very irritable, and nervous. Do you think that this "change of behavior" was caused by the rides?
Thanks,
Monica
Yes but not because of his ADHD. Rides such as this can cause subtle injury to the brain due to the rapid movement and stops. The result can be irritability and not feeling well. He needs to stay off this type of ride and for now should rest as if he had a mild concussion.
