Can Root Canal Treatment Be Done While Undergoing An IUI Procedure?
Hi Doctor, My IUI treatment was done 6days back and currently I am on IUI medication. Yday i got severe toothache and dentist suggested me to go for root canal.. Is it safe to have root canal during this IUI process.. Does it have aide effects on implantation or my pregnancy.. I am worried. Please reply me. Thanks Manasa
Root canal procedure itself is not contraindicated during IUI process. Root canal procedure needs anaesthesia, antibiotics, a painkiller and anti-inflammatory drugs.
These can affect implantation and pregnancy. So better not to undergo root canal procedure until you finish your IUI treatment. Better to discuss the same with your infertility doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
