Can sarcoidosis cause muscle/joint pain in later life? I had acute onset of sarcoidosis in 1986, was treated with prednisone for months. At that time it was visible in my lungs and I had uveitis and bellspalsy. Everything cleared and has been uneventful since. Now at age 55 I am getting joint pain, which is very unusual for me as I feel generally healthy despite the fact that I feel like I still smoke (I quit in 1986 when this all occurred).
