Can Sharp Pain Behind The Ear Be Caused By Ear Infection?

Hello I have been having this pain going on for 3 days and it s now going to be the 4th day. The pain is coming from my right ear but it s deep inside and I feel the pain more from the side of my head and somewhat behind my ear. The pain feels really sharp and it stops for 30seconds to a minute and then starts again for a couple to a few seconds. It has been consistent too. Is it an ear infection or should I be concerned it s something more severe?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The sharp pain you have could be from an ear infection, toothache (corrupting wisdom tooth, caries tooth), ear infection, arthritis of the temporomandibular joint.

Please get it diagnosed from a physician/dentist& get clinically diagnosed +managed. specifically.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
