Can Shoulder Pain Be Due To Arthritis And Swimming Aggravating The Problem?

I have pain in both of my shoulders. It is worse after sleeping and gets better when up. I am a swimmer and have been swimming about a mile per week for many years, doing the breast stroke, I am a 58 yr old male. Could this be arthritus that is being irrated by swimming?

Hi,

I have read your quey.

Arthritis in shoulder joint may be aggravated by repetitive movements, but as you are a swimmer your shoulder muscles will take all the stress applied to shoulder joint. So swimming will be benefit to you.

Apply hot packs for 30 min in morning and evening .

I hope it helps.
