Can Sinus Infection Be Related To Low Grade Fever?
I have been a chronic low grade fever since April 25. I had a sinus infection with a total of 3 sets of antibiotics. On July 1 I started azithromycyn which got rid of the fever and it began 2 days ago. The fever goes up to 99.7 during the day and then by 6pm it goes back to normal 98.6 and below. I had a cbc test done and it came back normal with just a little bit of anemia. I had a mono test it came back negative. Any idea why the fever occurs only during the day and not at night?
Here you are having chronic fever history... Chronic sinusitis has to be ruled out as it seems according to history.... For that paranasal sinus x ray taken... If present than endoscopic sinus surgery may needed after treating for acute exacerbation....
Further work up done with.... -Auscultation which is essential -CRP with CBC and PS examination -Chest x ray only if needed -Blood culture only if needed
According to examination further treatment guided...
If weight loss, anorexia present than tuberculosis ruled out by sputum examination...
Take care
Advise : physician consultation for examination...
Hope this will help
