I have numbness across nose makes corners of my eyes feel pulling, have had off and on for few years I am 74 have had sinus surgery years back which one side of nose closed had to go back to have stint put in for awhile then removed, could this be the cause?
It seems form your history of sinus surgery in distant past means may have been done by open method in which there is a possibility of trauma to the infra-orbital nerves which in turn cause numbness around the nose and the upper teeth. This is usually self-limiting but looks that the scar has caught the nerve hence the problem continues even after so many years. I would advise to consult your ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation and thus get further management as per the cause fund. Some newer medications like Gabapentin and old ones like Amitriptylene can help with the numbness. Surgical release of nerves may be of some help if hte ENT Surgeon is experienced in such cases.
