I was taking lisinopril for years with good results. I am 67. Recently, my BP elevated a lot (90-160). I would go to bed in decent level (80-140) but awaken to 90-160. My Dr switched me to amlopidine/benazpril and, after 2 weeks, I cannot seem to tolerate the stuff---extreme fatigue from taking at 8 AM until the noon hour. BP goes down to as little as 60/90. At the same time, I discovered, through my Eye, Ear, and Nose Dr that I had a deep sinus infection (had for more than a month) which is now being treated with Amoxoclav. Is it possible that the sinus infection caused BP to elevate? Obviously, I am looking for some reason to return to lisinopril. I might also add that I take 4 mg of doxazosin daily.
