During the day and awake.. my heart rate is low 50s. And at night I will drop to low 40s. I am also morbidly obese… ekgs say sinus rythym and pcp says don’t worry… but I’m worried.. any thoughts on the cause? Can I do anything to increase it?
Sleep apnea is associated with bradycardia. You are advised to do regular walking and exercises. Get connected to a physical therapist to help maintain healthy weight. Quit smoking, avoid alcohol intake and other addictions. Sleep apnoea is often associated with underlying cardiovascular condition. Get clinically examined by a Cardiologist.
Sleep apnea often triggers AF, atrial fibrillation, get screening tests done. Other cause of sleep apnea is Lyme disease, heart block or sick sinus syndrome. If diabetic, control your blood sugar level at all costs.
