Hi, may I answe I have a 17 year old Granddaughter who was diagnosed with a throat ulcer? She denies smoking Marijuana, to the point of becoming very angry. However, I found evidence of the substance in her purse? Can smoking Marijuana cause throat ulcers?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain smoking Marijuana or any form of recreational drug used for smoking can lead to irritation of throat with heat and chemicals and irritation and inflammation can lead to formation of ulcers..
She should immediately stop smoking and start doing warm saline gargles.. Sucking medicated throat lozenges can also help.. If there is pain she can take Ibuprofen and gargle with a numbing mouthwash.. Avoid hot and spicy food and take a soft diet.. Drink plenty of water and other fluids.. Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
