Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have 'vitreous junk" (says my doctor) floating around in my eye. I was also born with ROP (retina of prematurity?) Recently my retina specialists found a slight retinal hemorage and slight bleeding in my one good eye. My specialists are going to continue to wait to see what happens before they perform surgery. My question is: Will marijuana smoking affect my eyes more if I continually smoke? Should I stop and see improvements?
Marijuana is well-known to cause stenosis of blood vessels. In fact, heavy use can result in stroke. Since you have already had retinal haemorrhage, I think you should be very careful and not do anything which may aggravate the problem. So, it will be better to stop marijuana.
Best wishes.
