I had an angioplasty and stent procedure just over a week ago. the cathertization was difficult and I have been left with an extremely soe groin. I have a large purple bruise and a masssive amount of pain in the ovarian area. I have also had vaginal bleeding and clooting although my period was not due for a further 11 days. I have tried contacting my GP and the hospital but no one seems interested. Is my ovary likely to be damaged or just temporarily bruised. Im 45
Hi this brusing is called hematoma , its very normal post ptca at the site of insering cathetar , it will take atleast 6 to 8 weeks for the hematoma to dissolve , hematoma is formed because of the leaked blood around blood vessel , degeneration and absorption of that blood will take 6 to 8 weeks don,t worry its normal
