Can South Beach Diet Plan Cause Jaw Tightness And Metallic Taste In Mouth?
Yes, I just started the south beach diet about a week ago and am getting occasionally a strange metallic taste and my jaw is tight. Also I feel a little head pressure or numbness. I m 71 and 190 lbs. I m only trying to lose about 10 lbs, but I ve never had this taste before. Thanks
It is necessary for normal functioning of body to provide adequate amounts of essential vitamins and minerals. I would recommend to stop following this diet and follow conventional methods of dieting and exercise to lose weight so that there are no adverse effects on health.
However, if the jaw tightness and metallic taste does not improve even after starting to consume normal diet, you should visit a dentist to look for presence of any pathology in the area.
I hope this answer helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.

Can South Beach Diet Plan Cause Jaw Tightness And Metallic Taste In Mouth?
Hello, I can understand your concern. National Health Service (NHS) has concluded that rapid weight loss followed by South Beach Diet causes rapid loss of vitamins and minerals causing dry mouth, bad breath, metallic taste in mouth etc.
