Hi, I would like to know about the progress in stem cell therapy to treat chronic kidney disease at your clinic in Bangalore. If it is actually available over there, can you relate the procedures involved, its costs and duration of treatment. Thanks for your reply.

Hello,

Stem cell therapy may be useful in CKD. But in CKD stem cell therapy depends upon the what type of stem cells involved (podocytes, endothelial cells, mesenchymal cells). Until examination and biopsy done it is difficult to say what it is. Studies still undergoing but marked improvement not observed. Please consult with your nephrologist near by or post me biopsy report.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
