Can Steroids Be Discontinued Safely Due To An Allergic Reaction?

I was in second day of methylpredsol pack and had bright red face. Went to urgent care and Dr told me could be allergic reaction and to discontinue meds. Then I read this isn t a serious side effect. Could stopping steroid abruptly after two days cause problems

Hi Dear user. I have gone through your questions and I understand your concern.

Yes red face is one of the side effect of steroids , even its not a major side effect is something to be in consideration to prevent any further side effect.
It's ok to stop steroid if you have been using for 2 days and in moderate or small dosage .

Usually steroids interfere in the normal mechanism of your body after using in high dosage during a fiew days or normal dosage for more than 2 weeks.
Anyway if you have any of these symptoms after you stop:nause ,vomiting ,abdominal pain, diarrhea ,weakness , low blood pressure ..go to the hospital.
