Can Stress And Anxiety Cause Loss Of Appetite And Nausea?

Had unprotected sex 6 days ago, and started feeling Unwell 3 days afterwards, loss of appetite and nausea. I myself have not had sex for 5 months (long term partner before that) and the lady hadn t had aex in 13 months. Ive been beside myself with fear and anxiety since. I ve been over thinking and researching and have made myself worse with things that I ve read about symptoms. Can stress, worry and anxiety add to the situation and make the body react in strange ways? I m going for a test today by the way?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello.
Thank you for contacting HCM.

I have gone through your question and I understand your concern. Stress can make the body act in many strange ways. Nausea, loss of appetite, diarrhea, unable to go to sleep, restlessness, palpitations are some of the many ways in which stress can manifest itself. There s no need to worry and go for the tests hoping for a positive outcome.

I hope this answers your question. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns.
Wishing you good health.
