Can Stress And Anxiety Cause Pain In Throat?

Hi- I recently went through a tough time in my life. I had a D& C surgery after my miscarriage and then I almost lost my life due to loss of blood. I have been feeling pain in my throat. When I talk my voice cracks and sounds weak, then I also get pain in my ears. I went to a doctor and they checked for strep and I don't have it. I was wondering if stress/anxiety can cause the issues in my throat. When I'm asleep I feel no pain, but when I go about my day, I feel the pain.

Hello,
Yes there is a great effect of stress on the voice.
Whenever we are low our pitch comes down and then the stress is more on the vocal cords ie the main phonating organ or the sound producing organ.
And when we are high and happy we speak in high pitch ie in mouth like speaking in mask.
In addition when there is stress then there is more of reflux ie reflux of food contents from stomach in the food pipe , which causes spasms in the neck and so strained voice.
Take rest .
