Can Stress Cause Irregular Periods For A 19-year-old Teen?
Hi. I am 19 years old and I have been having irregular periods this year. In January, May and this month of June, my period has been absent. I have gained about 5kgs from last year. And I am sexual active, i am not pregnant. Please can you guide me as to what is wrong. During May and June, I have had stressful exams and went to the doctor twice due to the flu and sinusitis. Could that be a cause
Irregular periods occur due to hormonal imbalance. I suggest you to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment, ultrasound pelvis and serum levels of various hormones.
